We are seeking a Systems Solutions Architect to join our team and support our clients in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing business, data, systems, and infrastructure models to support COTS or Non-COTS application architectures deployed in mid-range client server and mainframe environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop plans for maintaining enterprise system architectures.
• Ensures adherence to CMS technical reference models to include hardware/software standards.
• Engineers integrated hardware and software solutions to meet mission requirements.
• Ensures architecture meets requirement needs based on compliance with appropriate IT organization and project standards, user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
• May develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.

Work Experience - Required:

• Minimum 7 years' experience involving Information Technology and related systems.
• Minimum 7 years' experience performing architecture related work on at least two IT systems.
• Experience in performing feasibility studies and integration analyses.
• Expert in supporting architecture for enterprise applications based on COTS or non-COTS including business, system, data, and infrastructure for such applications.

Work Experience - Desired:

• Experience supervising and providing guidance in implementing various mid-range architectures and supporting large-scale applications.
• Experience leading and directing the work of other IT professionals.
• Knowledge of CMS IT Architecture and Standards and Target Life Cycle (TLC) IT Governance framework
• Demonstrated experience briefing executive, managerial and technical staff.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline desired.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

• AWS or other cloud related certifications highly desired.

Communication Skills:

• Strong writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and consensus-building skills with demonstrated ability to present material effectively to all levels of personnel.
• Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.

Travel:

• Willing to travel as needed to customer sites.

Environmental Requirements:

• Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.
• May be required to lift to ten (10) pounds.
• Flexible in working extended hours.
