Senior Maintenance Technician

The job of a Senior Maintenance Technician is to use all the tools and equipment necessary to assist with maintenance at all Aberdeen Locations, ensuring our buildings and production equipment remain safe and functional. The Senior Maintenance Technician will perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and installations. This will range from a variety of disciplines such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, new equipment. On occasion, you may be required to work off hours and overtime to complete a job on time or other duties, as the company requires.

• Industrial Maintenance- Experience in an industrial production environment.
• General construction / facility knowledge - Experience with plumbing, electricity, or HVAC maintenance
• MSDs Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
• Mechanical skills - lubrication, measuring, threads and fasteners, bench works, ability to read and understand mechanical schematics.
• Electrical Skills- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting 480/240/120vac 3 phase and single-phase systems. Troubleshooting 24vdc systems. Basic knowledge of PLC systems. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Diagnose – Able to diagnose causes of electrical, mechanical malfunction, failure of equipment, system repairs, and replace defective components.
• Hydraulic Systems- Basic knowledge and experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems and reading schematics.
• CMMS Systems- Must have experience with CMMS systems. Creating and writing Work Orders, PM’s, scheduling, and maintaining the daily requirements of the CMMS system.
• Attention to detail – ensure tasks are produced / completed to proper specification.
• Must be able to operate Equipment - forklifts, scissor lifts, JLG lifts, and weed eaters.
• Detail Oriented – Ensuring assemblies are produced to customer specification.
• Reading Comprehension – Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical documents and procedures.
• Written Communication – Communicate and document work through written communication.
• Basic Arithmetic – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Time Management – Complete tasks and assignments effectively, and in a timely manner.
• Monitoring - Assessing performance of yourself and process to make improvements or take corrective action.

Knowledge & Education

• English Language
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial production environment
