Graphics Designer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, and illustration skills using Adobe Illustrator. This individual will understand both customer and manufacturing needs. The candidate should be driven to reduce design time while maintaining the highest level of product quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Create original designs for Christmas ornaments in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring designs meet both customer and manufacturing requirements, and are cost-effective for both parties.

2. Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and preferences while keeping costs in mind.

3. Work with the manufacturing team to ensure designs can be produced within production constraints, while also being mindful of costs

4. Conduct research and stay up to date on trends and styles related to Christmas ornaments while also keeping costs in mind

5. Develop and maintain a library of design templates for use in future projects that are both cost-effective and visually appealing.

6. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while staying within budget constraints.

7. Create design proofs for customers and make necessary revisions based on feedback, while also considering the cost impact of any changes.

8. Utilize design software and tools to prepare files for production, including screen print and digital print processes.

9. Work closely with the production team to ensure final products meet design specifications while keeping costs in mind.

10. Continuously improve design techniques to reduce design time without compromising quality.

11. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to refine and enhance designs.

12. Ensure all designs meet or exceed company standards and adhere to any relevant regulations or guidelines.

13. Assist with other design-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Industrial Design, or a related field.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in design and illustration skills using Adobe Illustrator.

3. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).

4. Strong understanding of various ornament design processes, including etching, printing, plating, and hand-assembly is a plus.

5. Demonstrated ability to balance customer needs with manufacturing constraints.

6. Proven experience in reducing design time while maintaining product quality.

7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality designs.

9. Knowledge of current industry trends and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Across our 50,000 sq ft facility in Lincoln RI our 150-person manufacturing staff perform a variety of operations including metal polishing, chemical etching, laser engraving, plating, screen-printing, digital printing, CNC cutting, 3D printing and hand assembly.
