SEO Manager

NextGen Leads is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Manager to join our Marketing team in San Diego! As an SEO Manager you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our SEO strategy. As our organic online presence is extremely important for the success of our business, your position will play a huge role in driving our business' growth and success.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy
• Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization
• Regularly perform thorough keywords research
• Identify key SEO KPIs
• Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs
• Prepare and present reports regularly
• Identify our buyer persona to better target identified audiences
• Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Suggest improvements in process and productivity optimization
• Collaborate with web developers and marketing team
• Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices
• Researches and recommends off-site link opportunities that build visibility, relevance, popularity, traffic and engagement
• Develop digital PR through qualified media placements
• Monitor backlink profile, disavow toxic backlinks
• Provides recommendations and executes strategies for content development in coordination with marketing goals, general and keyword specific
• Perform competitive analysis regularly to ensure our brand is on par with competitors
• Monitor the performance of our content and optimize whenever necessary
• Gather data and work with the team to brainstorm ideas and formulate experiments
• Ensures on-going keyword discovery, expansion and optimization are researched and implemented
• Conducts keyword research, on-site page targeting and other on-site SEM / SEO recommendations, including but not limited to, meta and alt tags, content recommendations, robots and canonical tags, XML sitemaps and 301 redirects

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience as SEO Manager or similar role
• Experience planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy
• Experience with web analytics, marketing, and business development

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Expertise in A/B and other testing methods
• Familiarity with Markdown, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• In-depth knowledge of research principles and methods and experience in analyzing data
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
