Unlike full-time employees, they typically work on specific projects or for a set period, providing expertise in search engine optimization such as keyword research, on-page and off-page SEO, technical SEO, and content optimization. Businesses often hire contract SEO specialists to address specific SEO challenges, manage campaigns, or provide guidance during website launches or redesigns. If you love digging into data, experimenting with what works, and actually seeing the results of your efforts - this is for you.

In the role of SEO Manager, you will report to the Global Audience Development SEO Manager.

We are considering applicants for the location of Los Angeles (Remote).

  • Conduct content audits and refresh editorial pages to improve search rankings.
  • Support technical SEO implementations across Audience Development.
  • Track keyword rankings, traffic shifts, and content performance in Google Search Console and Ahrefs.
  • Help with data entry and reporting across SEO tools and internal trackers.

  • Support A/B testing initiatives and track results.
  • Help maintain consistency and quality across international channel metadata.

  • Experience with YouTube optimization.
  • Familiarity with how to optimize for AI overviews or generative optimization.
  • Experience with A/B testing.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of anime culture and its importance to the broader community, and you're driven to innovate in this space.

About the Team

The Audience Development, Multimedia and Editorial team at Crunchyroll sits at the center of cultural conversation, fan experiences, and news. Our team includes the industry-leading, award-winning global Crunchyroll News organization. We are responsible for audio/video storytelling across Crunchyroll's owned channels, including the award-winning The Anime Effect podcast.
