Remote/Travel Float Nurse- Full Time


OI Infusion is looking for an energetic registered nurse to work as a Float Infusion Nurse. This position will be a remote role when not traveling, assisting multiple departments (Implementation, Operations, Intake/FA and Materials) in day to day needs of infusion patients. Will travel 70-80%, to infuse, train and/or set up new and existing infusion centers. Will support our Clinical Educator in training staff on site and remotely.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 days per week, No weekends Locations: coverage of multiple infusion centers in the United States

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Be a registered nurse (R.N.) with a current license within the state (compact license holder preferred).
  • Minimum of one year of infusion nursing experience as a R.N.
  • Work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff.
  • Infusion experience highly preferred

Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Perform the infusion therapy as directed by physician orders.
  • Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure.
  • Observe, assess, and document symptoms via nurses note timely.
  • Monitor reactions and patient progress.
  • Educate patients and/or caregivers on disease processes and medications.
  • Demonstrates proper infection control techniques and follows universal precautions.
  • Monitors daily refrigerator temps and documents daily log.
  • Notify the physician and other personnel (Reginal Operations Director) of change in the patient's condition.
  • Perform skills outlined in the agency's approved policy and procedure manual.
  • Update clinical records according to policy and procedures.
  • Update knowledge and skills by attending in-service programs, continuing education programs, seminars, and self-study programs annually.
  • Adhere to safe nursing practice standards.
  • Maintain professionalism with patient and client staff.
  • Communicating and scheduling patients per OI protocol.
  • Be knowledgeable about medications to be administered.
  • Mix medication per policy and procedure.
  • Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
  • Administrative work (Obtaining complete orders, office visit notes from practice EMR, scheduling, inventory management, etc.)
  • Any other duties asked for or required for this role.
