Ensure an optimal performance of the program by making sure all actions are processes are properly carried out according to the Newpalex methodology through the measurement, tracking and assessment of outcomes according to KPIs, as well as implementing continuous optimization processes, and ensure the program has all required resources (human and financial) to function properly in a sustainable way.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop the palliative care program with increased annual coverage in the United States.
  • Establishing the necessary processes with insurance (Florida Blue) to identify and refer patients (oncology and non-oncology) according to each region or state.
  • Tracking program results by region and state. To achieve adequate implementation of the palliative care program with the NewPalex methodology
  • Participate in the consolidation of qualitative and quantitative information of the Program.
  • Perform the periodic evaluation of the status of the Program and the preparation of the pertinent reports.
  • Measurement of the implantation standards compliance of the NEWPALEX method in the organization. Performing the periodic evaluation of the status of the Program and the preparation of the pertinent reports (KPIs).
  • Assess program effectiveness
  • Attend the Clinical, Administrative and/or State Advanced Care Meetings when necessary.
  • Attend National Advanced Care Boards to report on the status of the Program. Participating in the scheduled activities, including providing input, showing results and preparing topics Provide and receive input and feedback on the program performance. Strategic planning. Continuous improvement cycle
  • Know and teach the key points of the program, as well as seek compliance with its values and objectives.
  • Ensure the implementation of services by developing mechanisms and procedures with a comprehensive approach. By following and supervising the processes and outcomes according to well defined KPIs and an holistic and integral approach ensure proper operation of the program, and timely detect improvement opportunities, avoid care fragmentation
  • Guarantee the personal and financial resources necessary for the correct development and continuity of the Program.
  • Have a clear inventory of the human and operational resources required to effectively operate according to the patient volume, and request extra staff and resources whenever necessary according to standard parameters Guarantee continuity and availability of the program as well as optimal quality of the delivered care and services. Avoid staff burnout
  • Ensure the implementation of integrated community intervention actions (social awareness and volunteering).
  • Coordinating the identification and connection with social and community resources by working with the BH, social worker and related areas Ensure and holistic approach to care for both the patient and there circle
  • Ensure the execution of the research plan. Support the development research protocols and scientific articles by the clinical team, an the participation of staff in symposiums and related academical activities Increase the scientific level of the palliative care team.

Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS Degree Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a health related field
  • Job Experience: 4+ years Experience as palliative care program manager or program director
  • License and Certifications: License Preferred Foreign Physician with master degree in palliative care
  • Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Desirable experience and interest in research initiatives
  • Desirable experience mentoring, teaching other in the area of palliative care
  • Able to articulate in both written and spoken communication
  • Ability to establish trust, rapport and work effectively
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise forethought, look ahead and anticipate needs
  • Ability to present information in response to questions to stakeholders and families
  • Ability to travel within assigned areas as needed
  • Other Languages: Spanish Advanced
