Indee Labs is a biotechnology startup backed by SOSV, Y Combinator, Social Capital and Founders Fund. The team at Indee Labs develops and markets Hydropore for more effective engineered cell therapies.

Indee Lab’s non-viral delivery platform, Hydropore, is a robust solution that overcomes the limitations and costs of electroporation, viral transduction, and other non-viral transfection methods. Hydropore is being developed in collaboration with 3 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies, various biotechs and leading research institutions including UC San Francisco, Stanford, Medical University of South Carolina, the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease among others.

We are seeking a Chief Business Officer to join the team full-time to accelerate the growth of Hydropore. Indee Labs is headquartered in Berkeley, CA, and accommodates hybrid work. This position will be ideally located in the Bay Area and work travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all business development and alliance management efforts including driving strategic planning and execution of business deals, as well as overseeing collaboration progression and completion.
• Coordinate company business activities in alignment with its financial sustainability and growth objectives, as well as R&D deliverables.
• Contribute to all company-building efforts and activities to sustain and develop engagement at all levels, enhance capacity and progress in all functional areas, and proactively assess and manage risks by evaluating and implementing robust mitigation strategies.
• Support the CEO to drive company strategies and innovative solutions toward growing high-quality revenue

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience with a demonstrated successful track record in business development, corporate strategy, leadership, and an outstanding deal sheet.
• Master’s, PhD or similar with a deep understanding of industry trends, well-equipped with scientific knowledge and hands-on experience in microfluidics and engineered cell therapies
• Highly effective in connecting with people, building business relationships, engaging internal and external collaborators.
• Comfortable communicating complex topics to a variety of people with different backgrounds
• Natural ability to inspire people, cultivate a productive culture and drive positive changes.
• Demonstrated commercial success!!!

Preferred Skills

• Project management and digital marketing experience with tools like Hubspot, LinkedIn, Zapier, etc.
• Background or experience in cell culture, transfection and wet lab work
• Comfortable creating presentations and presenting data
• Ability to work independently as well as lead others
• Interest in or experience with biomicrofluidics
