Service Engineer, Heavy Equipment

We are looking for a Service Engineer in the heavy equipment, quarry, or mining industry!
In this position, you'll troubleshoot excavators, wheel loaders, trucks, and/or bulldozers that Distributors are having issues with. These issues could be hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic or mechanical in nature.
You'll work with Distributor service or field technicians over the phone and email to resolve issues. If the issues are more complicated, you'll travel to their location to help them trouble shoot issues.
The Service Engineer will work with the Quality team and investigate the root cause of certain failures and work through the process to ensure product quality. This position is responsible for determining the differences between a defect in material/workmanship or an end user error.
The Service Engineer will also troubleshoot failures. You'll use your problem-solving skills to review failure trends and determine the root cause.
You'll also provide feedback to our global manufacturing headquarters of trends of the construction equipment that may be related to the North American market applications or product quality (Ex: defect in material/workmanship).
Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 years of "hands on" field or shop service experience
- Trade school or an Associate's degree preferred
- Travel up to 30% mainly in the US and Canada
- Able to work in the office to start. Hybrid after a couple months
