Job Description

Title: Specialty Laboratory Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Department: Pathology
Duration: 13 weeks of contract (extendable)
Shift: 08 hrs./day & 40 hrs./ week (Shift: 8AM-4PM, ALERNATING WEEKENDS, 5 DAYS A WEEK

Education:

Bachelor's Degree
Blood bank experience required

Certification:

Valid certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technician issued by NYSED, Primary Source verification required.
BLS preferred.

Responsibilities:

Major Duties: Chemistry, Haematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation, and knowledge of Blood Bank.
Must be proficient in the performance of manual differentials, cell counts on body fluids, and urine microscopy.
Must perform Quality control and maintenance procedures as required.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
