Job Title:Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Summary
A Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for the intake, management, and testing of samples related to Axis Testing. They will be expected to maintain the standards, practices, and documentation necessary for working in aClinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulated environment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform day to day operations of Lab.
- Operate instrumentation and automated or manual screens.
- Maintain laboratory records, quality control charts, maintenance logs and reagent logs as needed.
- Adhere to all State and Federal guidelines and regulations including compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations.
- Prepare and analyze biological specimens such as blood and urine samples
- Enter and match computer orders with specimen labels, sort and log specimens, arrange reports for delivery and track samples as needed.
- Monitor and maintain quality control measures and protocols by running standards/calibrators and controls, verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting, and calibrating equipment using approved testing procedures.
- Store and/or dispose of samples and reagents appropriately.
- Ensure laboratory area is cleaned, organized, and sufficiently stocked with reagents and consumables.
- Prioritize work to maintain turn-around-time.
- Execute other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:
Required: Associates degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Technology.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, biology or related life science.
Certification Requirements:
Required: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) certification.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience
