Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect and analyze requests for construction draw disbursement approval on residential financed projects ensuring progress of construction are in line with approved scope of work and budget.
• Review and analyze construction budgets submitted during the underwriting process to determine if the budget is adequate to support the project.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with photos and sketches on residential properties during the underwriting process to identify any red flags, discrepancies, unique characteristics or hazards.
• Coordinate and maintain communications with all parties involved in the draw process including borrowers, contractors, account managers, third party inspectors, and brokers.
• Ensure compliance with loan documents, credit policy, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Provide recommendation on large/complex new construction budgets which require secondary approval per guidelines.

• Work with senior staff to ensure plans and construction meet building codes, local ordinances, and zoning regulations and that estimates meet budget expectations.
• Implement best practices for in-house construction inspection.

• Provide recommendations for preventative measures to ensure assets do not become blighted or distressed.

• Monitor and provide weekly reports for assets in foreclosure and REO status.
• Keep project logs, including photographs taken during inspection.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in construction inspections or construction management related fields

• Must have and maintain current Driver's License and Clean DMV record (please provide current copy)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Construction or real estate background preferred but not required.
