Job description

Anchor Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (P.E.) to join our growing Denver team. This position is ideally suited for engineers ready to take on increased project ownership, technical leadership, and client-facing responsibilities, with flexibility to align the role based on experience.

You’ll work on a diverse range of projects while contributing to both technical design and project execution, with a clear path toward leading projects and mentoring others.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, and specifications
  • Analyze structural systems and evaluate design alternatives
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and internal standards
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and external partners
  • Support development of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Contribute to project coordination, scheduling, and client communication

Role Scope (Varies by Experience)

Mid-Level / Project Engineer

  • Contributes to design, coordination, and documentation
  • Supports project delivery with guidance from senior staff
  • Begins mentoring junior team members
  • Assists with project management tasks

Senior-Level / Senior Project Engineer

  • Leads structural design with minimal oversight
  • Takes ownership of project execution, schedules, and deliverables
  • Stamps smaller projects and technical reports
  • Directs and mentors staff
  • Serves as a key client and partner contact
  • Contributes to proposals and business development

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience (7+ years strongly preferred)
  • Active P.E. or S.E. license (or ability to obtain Colorado licensure)
  • Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design
  • Proficiency in structural analysis/design software
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
