Mechanical Engineering Intern
Position Summary

NSI Industries is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern whose primary purpose is to design, document and validate mechanical products and provide sustaining support of those products. Design work varies from new product development to product modifications and will work closely with Product Management throughout the development process. This design and sustaining work is done to improve existing products, design new products, and offer additional options at the customer / agent / market requests. This will be a fully in person paid internship Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm in our Huntersville, NC office.

Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:

Prepare detailed 2D/3D of mechanical parts & electrical assemblies
Model off the shelf mechanical components into the NSI Industries library
Able to create detailed drawings that meet both industry and company drafting standards
Perform drawing corrections and revisions
Analyze customer and product issues and recommend changes as necessary

Additional Experience (desired but not required):

Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams, vendors and customers
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe software

Basic Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

Enrolled in bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering program
Minimum of 2 years of college
Must be proficient in Solid Works 3D modeling of assemblies and components
