About the Job
The Maintenance Technician position at Basalite, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment while upholding the company's Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation, and Financial Success. Key responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance services and inspections, diagnosing and troubleshooting engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic systems, making necessary repairs and part replacements, managing parts inventory, and completing required paperwork. The role also involves operating various equipment and establishing effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of welding and machinery maintenance experience, excellent communication and math skills, proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and maintenance issues, knowledge of PLCs and computer-operated equipment, and a valid driver's license. Physical demands include manual dexterity, reaching, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 80 pounds.
