Job Description: This high visibility position is responsible for communicating with each QC Laboratory on daily QC inspections & monitoring activities; to help maintain MFI Food Safety & Quality Management System; and Document Control program. This position is also responsible for communicating with all internal and external account holders, The Quality Control Coordinator provides necessary assistance to production by coordinating, leading, and promoting initiatives for food safety management system. The Quality Control Assistant Manager reports to the QA Manager.

Responsibilities:

*Manage the QC grading Lab, QC Packaging, Plant two, Environmental testing, and perform daily Time Force verification and weekly schedule.

*Manage equipment calibration 'program.

*Primary QA resource for Traceability / Recall Program.

*Coordinate positive release program to approve all incoming raw material and finished products.

*Coordinate the development, implementation and administration of QA activities in all phases of the manufacturing process.

*Help ensure product specifications and customer requirements are being met and appropriate production records are kept.

*Perform Duties of Document control specialist.

*Develop microbiological, chemical, physical, and organoleptic specifications for raw and finished products.

*Assist Corporate QA Manager in correspondence with internal and external customers, design and execution of new projects, verification and validation of new manufacturing methods.

*Coordinate customer related projects and be the initial point of contact for on-going communication with customers, sales and customer service group

*Assist in developing, recommending, supporting and ensuring compliance of factory QA objectives in support of both factory and overall company goals

*QA resource for customer and third-party audits, customer sample requests, incident reports and customer complaint investigations.

*Assist and support departmental and organizational goals for Customer Satisfaction, Regulatory Compliance, and overall

*Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSSC 22000)

*Perform other related duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

*Ensure compliance and record-keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, inspection, and identity preserve. perform QA Lab testing as necessary or required.

*Participate in weekly departmental meeting. And other meetings as required.

*Perform all Annual Validation studies for fruits and juices.

*In charge of the QA Hold/ Release program; coordinating with packaging, labs, purchasing, logistics and GP.

*Coordinate with outside labs for microbiological; and environmental monitoring, verify of lab results to ensure they are in specification.

*Responsible for pre-shipment document review, including micro, COA's, and production batch record review

Employment Requirements:

Bachelor or A.S. degree in Food Science, Agribusiness, Biology or Chemistry preferred, but not required. Or minimum High School + a 3-year experience required in a food-manufacturing environment or similar role.

Good PC skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite

Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 22000, ISO 9001 helpful)

Knowledge of GFSI benchmark (highly desirable)

Knowledge of HACCP, GMP's and food safety standards

Understanding of Third-Party or Regulatory Audits (highly desirable)

Great communication skills and Technical Writing skills
