Title: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Type of Placement: Temp to Perm
Shift: First Shift
Pay/Pay Range: $18-$22 Hourly (DOE)

This is a fast packed always moving position. You will never be bored. You will build relationships with customers, shipping, and transportation companies as well as help support the internal staff. You will be a key component in the day-to-day processes and flow of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Engage with forklift operators (in person, or via radio) for assistance with loading/unloading material.
- Handle two-way traffic and manage the queue (in person, or via radio), while assisting visiting drivers to navigate the yard with guidance from forklift operators.
- Identify and tag orders as needed in a primary or backup role.
- Identify orders & splits for correct color tags & to ascertain metal tag number is correct.
- Identify prohibitive processing characteristics such as: vent holes, sizing, blasting requirements (paint, lacquer), split orders, concrete, tape etc.
- Perform QC, Inspection & Inventory of stored material as received and available or as directed.
- Accompany third party inspection agents for visual inspection of completed items when needed.
- Alert customer service and/or customers directly to any discrepancies identified either via phone, email or both.
- Receive orders for entry and close orders to completion, notify customer.
10 Engage with plant and customer service to facilitate and coordinate large scale outbound and inbound shipments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or greater
- Experience with Forklift Preferred but not required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Forklift - Preferred not required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Computers skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and outlook a must.
Environmental Conditions:
In this role you will be splitting your time in the office handling office duties and in the yard, in all-weather dealing with shipments and trucking companies.
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift for long periods of time daily.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
