Mechanic/Fabricator - Pellet Technology USA

POSITION PURPOSE:
Design, fabricate, and repair various plant equipment. Make recommendations for equipment improvements. Back up Maintenance and Operations as needed, taking on additional duties as needed to ensure continued success of PTUSA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Evaluate current equipment limitations and propose cost effective improvement options.
- Design and fabricate necessary equipment for additional product production and improved plant efficiency.
- Perform repairs on various plant equipment including but not limited to motors, heaters, coolers, compressors, etc.
- Learn all areas of the plant and participate as part of the plant team.
- Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
- Plan, organize and communicate with all levels of staffing.
- Assist Operators as needed with various tasks.
- Help drive company culture of continuous improvement.
- Comply and enforce at all times PTUSA, ICM Ventures and OSHA safety programs and regulations, including LOTO, Confined Space, and Electrical Safety programs.
- Work cooperatively will all staff in all departments.
- Take on additional and other responsibilities as assigned and needed to successfully contribute to the development of Pellet Technology USA as a company and growing entity.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
Associate degree or technical degree/certification preferred
Required Knowledge & Experience:
3+ years of fabrication experience; TIG, MIG stainless steel
Strong working knowledge of industrial equipment.
Working knowledge of Device-net
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds frequently.
