Family owned and operated manufacturing company located in Yonkers, NY. Our products are industrial machine components and are focused on carbon and graphite materials. Our customers are global, and include aerospace, petrochemical, food, power-gen, and marine. We're customer-centric and pride ourselves on our quick response and excellent service. Plant Mechanic

Compensation: –commensurate with experience and skill level

Onsite Yonkers NY

Employment Type: Full Time Only

Overview:

Candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and emergency repair of precision equipment at a manufacturing plant. Knowledge of industrial electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is a must.

This role includes the responsibility of addressing issues with commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Large potential for growth and new opportunities within a successful company. The field of work is unique, cutting edge, and challenging.

An introduction to the layout of the company will be provided, but full experience of the above-mentioned topics is expected. This is a hands-on role, working closely with a team - not an office position.

Skills/Qualifications:

Must be able to communicate in English.

The ability to read technical drawings, use a digital multimeter, use, and maintain mechanic’s tools, and consistently use excellent safety practices is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a precision machine shop and foundry environment.

- Emergency repair of the equipment in all environments in the plant

- Installation and upgrading of equipment.

- Updating documentation to reflect upgrades or changes made to equipment or systems.

- Repair facilities equipment including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.

- Work with outside vendors used to complete work that is subcontracted.
