Job Description:

The Mechanical CAD Designer is responsible for supporting the Variable Cost Productivity team by generating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings. This project will reduce manufacturing cycle time by streamlining activities using mechanical fixturing devices.
Main responsibilities for this role will be mechanical CAD support for individual part design and assembly design. The designer will be responsible for generating 3D models, reviewing the design with the team, and creating 2D part and assembly drawings.

Roles and Responsibilities
• With input from engineers, create 3D models of manufacturing fixture design concepts
• Refine concepts into detailed design, including creation of 2D part and assembly drawings
• Work with engineers to get supplier quotes and review/incorporate supplier feedback
• Support assembly and testing of prototype design(s)
Required Qualifications
• Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology
• 5 years mechanical design experience, including 3D modeling design and generation of 2D drawings
• Fluent in Creo and Winchill
• Proficiency in GD&T
• Experience and ability to support physical assembly and testing of mechanical prototypes
• Ability to work onsite at WSO
