Senior Full Stack Java Developer

As a member of the Information Technology team, the Senior Full Stack Java Developer will be responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of our eCommerce platform and supporting ongoing enterprise-wide business applications, integrations and strategic initiatives. eCommerce represents a significant portion of our growth, and the individual selected for this role will get the opportunity to work on implementing a new mobile application, enhancing our existing integrations, and play a part in shaping the development function for the enterprise.

Position responsibilities:

• Designs and develops new features for eCommerce platform and other business applications
• Recommends solutions to bugs and incidents
• Develops back-end code using Java and front-end code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Writes SQL code and works with JPA to access and update databases
• Designs and implements microservices and APIs for integration with 3rd parties

Position requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science or Engineering or related field. At least ten years of experience in information technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least seven years of experience developing web solutions with Java (Spring and Spring Boot) and .Net required.
• Previous experience with eCommerce implementations is required for this role
• Demonstrated proficiency with GIT (Command line and/or tools)
• Previous experience with working in databases, such as DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL
• Previous experience with front-end systems such as HTML5, JavaScript (React, React Native, Angular JS)
• Previous experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs, including REST Level 3 or HyperMedia REST APIs
• Previous experience with platforms such as Elastic Path, BloomReach CMS, Adobe AEM, Magento, Salesforce, Shopify, and/or BigCommerce
• Ability to continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change
• Ability to coordinate users & technical staff across multiple departments/locations as well as coordination of 3rd party project responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate information across different individuals, departments, and external parties.
• Skill in facilitating open lines of communication with Distributor Partners, employees, and upper-level management.
