Ophthalmology Technician - Lackland Air Force Base

As a civilian contractor working for QuarterLine, you will utilize your abilities as a Ophthalmology Technician to instruct patients concerning eye care and contact lens handling.

• Location: Lackland Air Force Base
• How to Qualify. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree/Education: High school graduate.
  • Certifications Possess and maintain current certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
  • Experience: Three years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician/Technologist after COA certification from JCAHPO in a Large Ophthalmic Practice (5 ophthalmologists or more). Five years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician/Technologist after COA certification from JCAHPO in a Small Ophthalmic Practice (4 ophthalmologists or less).
  • Licensure/Registration: Basic Life Support
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship.
  • Credentialing: Ability to pass background check and drug screen. Current physical and immunizations.
• Physical Requirements: You must be on the premises to perform the job. The environment is fast-paced and multifaceted, with conditions and duties that can change quickly throughout a shift.
