Overview:

Responsible for analyzing portfolio performance, portfolio and collection trends, and providing management with meaningful analysis and conclusions to support, modify or adopt changes in loan and collection processes and lending decisions. Provides analysis, reporting, and support to various Lending Departments.

What You Will Do:

• Team member models behaviors that align with Premier America's Core Values.
• Assumes responsibility for the analysis and auditing of portfolio performance.
• Analyze consumer, real estate, business, and collection loan portfolios to identify changes in portfolio performance that are outside of current risk standards.
• Help create the periodic multi-dimensional risk assessment for the Credit Oversight Committee.
• Based on independent analysis, make recommendations for changes to improve underwriting quality, product design/pricing and/or collection practices.
• Stay abreast of current department underwriting philosophies, assumptions, and risk-based pricing methodologies to evaluate performance to set targets.
• Collaborate with Lending VPs to ensure critical workflows are process mapped and provide assessment on potential gaps.
• Maintain working knowledge of key lending system functionality. Collaborate with system administrator to ensure data mapping and workflows remain up to date. Provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Collaborate with Lending VPs to evaluate new initiatives and set up processes to evaluate any changes impact on overall loan performance in relationship to initial targets. Examples include use of AI in underwriting decisions and validation of credit score models.
• Collaborate with VP, Servicing to enhance loan modification or workout performance.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Premier America Team Members
• Maintain a listing of all created system data fields.
• Provide feedback to department management when database or coding errors are identified.
• Ensure that new products have proper system and general ledger setups.
• Create and enhance monthly departmental reports.
• Make recommendations relating to reporting, process changes, enhancements, and data mapping monthly.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Premier America staff.
• Produce on-going and ad-hoc reports that identify loan performance factors and trends.
• Create and review reports within each loan category to recognize possible inconsistencies regarding the quality of data and/or decisions.
• Attendance and punctuality are within acceptable standards.
• Available to work during the Credit Union’s core business hours.
• Additional duties or projects as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

• Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience required.
• High school diploma required, and college degree preferred, or similar/related experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent project management and critical thinking skills.
• Lending and underwriting expertise.
• FNMA reporting guideline knowledge.
• Basic accounting skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
• Ability to use a personal computer and related software applications including Microsoft Word.

Pay Grade Info:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $26 - $33 per hour
