We are looking for an Accounting Clerk! Our client in Houston, Texas is seeking an Accounting Clerk on a contract-to-hire basis.

Job Responsibilities:
•Cut checks and release payments for premiums and all vendors.
•Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statement and research discrepancies in an accurate and timely manner.
•Provide financial reports to clients and perform claims activities.
•Interact with clients by answering questions and researching discrepancies.
•File client documentation.
•Review expense accounts for reasonableness and completeness.
•Maintain accounts receivable, documents, bills, and supporting documentation.
•Maintain accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of debt, and gathering appropriate signatures.
•Update financial records via accounting software.
•Process payroll.
•Correct errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
•Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
•Gather cost incurred and invoice weekly payments to active clients.
•Collect invoice payments.
•Assist in monthly closings, tracking all missing receipts to ensure all cost are entered for closing.

Job Requirements:
•QuickBooks Online experience.
•Proficient in excel - Pivot Tables and VLookups.
•Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll experience.
