Job Description

Job Title : Senior Staff Accountant / GASB
Location : Plymouth, MA 02360
Type : Fulltime, direct hire

Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with a strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and FASB implementations, as well as familiarity with accounting issues associated with governmental and quasi-governmental agencies
Our ideal candidate will have direct experience working with state and local governmental agencies
3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Professional
Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GASB
At least three tax seasons in a CPA practice preparing both entity and individual tax returns
Advanced skills using QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, Word, and Outlook required
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong desire to learn and grow professionally
Commitment to team environment and results

Responsibilities:

Conduct monthly reviews of accounting procedures at a series of governmental agencies
Assist agencies with annual financial audit process and work directly with outside CPA audit firm
Assist agencies with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GASB
