Fabrication Technician
Pay Rate: $19 per hour.
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Hours: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
As a Fabrication Technician, you will perform all duties required to produce fabrication products. Assist in the layout and maneuvering of industrial-grade fabrics used to produce geo-synthetic tubes and other high-strength woven fabrics.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the layout and maneuvering of industrial-grade fabrics used to produce geo-synthetic tubes and other high-strength woven fabrics.
- Fold, gather, and feed materials for the Sewer to join fabrics.
- Observe stitching to detect defects due to workmanship or machine malfunction.
- Observe fabrics for visual flaws in fabrics used in production.
- Participate in weekly safety meetings and follow all safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions and retain routine processes.
- Ability to read and understand documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions furnished.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50lbs. push/pull 100lbs.
