Reports To:   Managing Director of Event Services
SUMMARY
Lumen Field, Lumen Field Event Center and the WAMU Theater is the premier sports and events venue in the Pacific Northwest hosting over 2.4 million visitors to more than 175 events annually.
The Parking and Traffic Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Lumen Field parking inventory, including staffing and logistical operations, as well as coordination of related traffic and transportation obligations. This leadership position provides direction and support to our Parking Supervisors, Leads, Captains and Attendants with the objective of consistently motivating all Teammates to provide best in class service to every guest, client and co-worker.
The Parking and Traffic Manager is a full-time exempt position, overseeing event and non-event operations, requiring work during normal business hours, as well as evenings, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to the development and consistent implementation of a best-in-class guest service program that focuses on raising the game through a proactive service philosophy, empowerment of employees and maintaining organizational principles and values
  • Manage the daily and event parking operations including the hiring, training, scheduling and proactive leadership of on-site staff, including supervisors, captains, leads and attendants, with the objective of ensuring all event and non-event operations are executed smoothly, as well as key performance indicators are fulfilled
  • Serve as an engaged leader of the Parking Department, which includes conducting consistent weekly staff meetings, pre-event and post-event briefings, as well as being a role model, active listener and resource for the overall parking staff
  • Supervise gameday parking assignments to include internal staff, season ticket holders and other designated game and event day parking
  • Work in collaboration with Ticket Operations, Premium Services, Hospitality, stadium tenants and other stakeholders to ensure that all pre-sold and VIP parking accommodations are fulfilled with the goal to Identify opportunities to be more efficient in parking assignments and utilization
  • Maintain positive working relationship with King County Metro for the utilization of the Metro Garage at 6th and Royal Brougham, as well as other neighboring parking resources and providers
  • Partner with Lumen Field Security Department to maintain DHS Safety Act best practices, as well as develop, implement and continually improve plans and technology for vehicle screening, safety, ingress and egress, to include traffic, parking and pedestrian access
  • Manage event staff on-site and off-site parking programs, as well as pre-event and post-event shuttle services to and from designated lots and garages
  • Assist with the production of the required reporting to Public Stadium Authority (PSA) and local government to include Transportation Management Plan, Special Transportation Management Plan, Annual Traffic Survey, etc.
  • Participate as directed as a representative of FGI/LF in all relevant parking, transportation and neighborhood meetings, to include PARC, WSDOT, construction coordinators, the waterfront project committee and other relevant construction and transportation meetings
  • Work with Seattle Police Traffic Division to schedule and audit appropriate event day street closures, intersection staffing and deployment, as well as production of estimates and alignment on post-event billing/recaps
  • Oversee scheduling, deployment, collection and maintenance of all parking resources including Meridian barricades, signage and other relevant equipment/technology
  • Communicate with local officials as well as business partners on potential non-event and event day parking opportunities
  • Attend internal weekly planning meetings and disseminate relevant parking and traffic updates for various events, projects and know before you go communications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parking related guest complaints, personnel matters and claim resolution. In all cases, communicate resolution to supervisor and when necessary, escalate the resolution process to appropriate FGI leadership
  • Ensure all parking staff adhere to any cash/credit handling policies and procedures
  • Develop and administer departmental budget, capital projects, accounts payable and payroll. This responsibility includes working with Finance to set annual and monthly revenue and event dynamic pricing objectives
  • Regular review of NFL Voice of the Fan surveys, internal dashboards and other data platforms with the desired outcome to identify operational/experience trends and implement appropriate improvements
  • Oversee management and preventive maintenance of Lumen Field electronic charging stations in the North Lot and Garage
  • Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director of Event Services 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in parking, traffic or transportation operations
  • Proven professional, tactful and diplomatic oral and written communication style
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills with a service-oriented attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and situations
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in job responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in logistics and operations in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proven strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and meet deadlines
  • Team player, reliable and dependable
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Full-Time Parking Supervisors, Part-Time Leads, Part-Time Captains and Part-Time Parking Attendants

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • The salary for this position is: $70,000 - $88,000. The salary applies to the current posting. The posted salary may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set.
