Customer Service Agent (Vehicle Release Cashier)

We are a Detroit area towing company is looking for Vehicle Release Cashier. This administrative position supports our towing, impound, emergency response, and breakdown services.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

§ Take incoming calls for towing service, police impounds, and accidents.

§ Take incoming calls for impound release questions that relate specifically to the laws relating to towing and impoundment

§ Perform releases and cashier duties for impounded vehicles with potentially dishonest, demanding, and challenging customers.

§ Process impoundment paperwork and maintain compliance with all requirements for the laws of towing and impoundment.

§ Administrative and clerical duties.

§ Abandoned vehicle auction management.

§ Billing and collection of towing services.

§ Cash and deposit management.

COMPENSATION: Pay rate starts off at $12.50 per hour. 401K, short term disability insurance, etc are available.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

§ Emergency call center or dispatch experience.

§ 2 years of experience working in a office setting.

§ Excellent computer skills (i.e. MS Excel, data systems)

§ Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and very organized.

§ Strong desire to help people and solve challenging problems.

§ Able to work under pressure

§ Answer multiple line phones and greet clients warmly.

§ Assist in filing duties.

§ Perform basic bookkeeping duties.

Additional Requirements: MUST pass a drug test, criminal background check and a customer service skills assessment test.
