Job Description
Position Overview: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth and efficient operations from raw material procurement to product delivery. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Lead and direct day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies including Quality Lean Manufacturing to optimize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Establish and communicate clear objectives and performance expectations to all team members, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Production Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.
    • Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory control processes, including material procurement, storage, and distribution, to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
    • Implement inventory optimization strategies to reduce waste, improve inventory turns, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices throughout the manufacturing process.
    • Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and implementing appropriate safety protocols and training programs.
    • Investigate and address any safety incidents or environmental concerns promptly to prevent reoccurrence and ensure regulatory compliance.
  6. Cost Management:
    • Develop and manage the departmental budget, controlling costs and expenditures while maximizing operational efficiency and productivity.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and waste elimination through lean manufacturing principles and operational best practices.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, creativity, and problem-solving at all levels of the organization.
    • Lead or support cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements, technology upgrades, and efficiency enhancements to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and drive results in a rapidly evolving industry.
