As a field technician, you will collect data and compile test results and field notes into basic reports. Typical projects include water quality sampling, soil sampling, indoor air quality testing, and testing residential and commercial properties for asbestos, lead, mold, and radon. At times, you will oversee subcontractors on job sites. Depending on the project size, you will close or remove heating oil tanks and perform other clean-up projects primarily independently. The majority of the work is done outdoors and requires physical labor. Communication with clients and team members is essential, and a strong work ethic and positive attitude will always be beneficial.
