Position Title

Vocational/Day Support Associate Program Director

Job Summary

Supervises the company’s assigned team of Placement Specialists, Employment Support Coordinators, and Community Support Specialists. Is responsible for securing competitive employment on behalf of consumers and assisting consumers to maintain his/her employment status. Is responsible for assisting consumers to develop and maintain life skills to access and participate in community activities. Functions as an interim Placement Specialist and/or Community Support Specialist when necessary. Oversees and ensures compliance with all established policies, regulations, practices, and procedures. Manages resources to affect positive outcomes and financial return on investment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with ensuring that all assigned consumers have the opportunity to achieve their desired employment and/or day support outcome consistent with their goals identified in the consumer’s support plan.
  • Supervises assigned Placement Specialists, Employment Support Coordinators, and Community Support Specialists and may serve in their capacity when necessary to ensure positive results.   • Embraces the company’s “Mission” and provides leadership to all staff under his/her direction in support of this mission.
  • Keeps abreast of all changes in applicable governmental regulations and statutes regulating the business and implements, as required.
  • Maintains consumer records and ensures compliance with all data privacy regulations. Issues reports and maintains other records, as required.
  • Represents the company at all ID Team Meetings and information meetings applicable to those consumers assigned to the Job Development Team.
  • Completes Google calendar on Monday by 9AM thereby entering all on-site and off-site activities planned for that work week and updates throughout the week, as changes occur.
  • Completes labor and expense reporting by entering his/her hours worked on a daily basis via the company web portal.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises up to 6 employees within the vocational and/or day support departments.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises assigned program staff in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Ensures that employee evaluations are completed on a timely basis and fairly represent the employee’s work performance. Minimizes staff turnover through the new hire selection process and by creating a positive work environment that promotes positive consumer outcomes and employee job satisfaction.
  • Provides oversight to ensure compliance with all company and program policies, procedures and governmental regulations in relation to employees supervised and consumers served by this position.
  • Manages authorized units and program related costs thereby optimizing the delivery of services in support of positive consumer employment outcomes and the company’s financial return on investment.

Job Qualifications

The Vocational/Day Support Associate Program Director shall meet the minimal qualifications:

  • Associates Degree, with emphasis in Social Services preferred, but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Up to date Auto Insurance
  • Maintain acceptable motor vehicle report
  • Previous 2-year work experience providing services to persons with developmental disabilities, preferred not required
  • Meets the minimum requirements of Designated Coordinator per MN Statue 245D.081

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
