Onsite Medical Billing Manager

POSITION TITLE:Billing Manager

EMPLOYEMENT STATUS:Full Time | Direct Hire

DEPARTMENT:Billing

POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for managing and directing all processes of the revenue cycle with an emphasis on maximizing patient satisfaction and profitability.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move about the department and practice to manage and supervise staff and activities
• Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges
• Schedule flexibility to accommodate variations in workload
• Substantial computer and phone use
• Medical office environment with minimal exposure to patient care areas
• Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
• Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.
• Research, compile, and prepare reports, manuals, correspondence, or other information required by management or governmental agencies.
• Develop or update procedures, policies, or standards.
• May have exposure to patients with communicable diseases, blood, and body fluids

Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff to perform their duties efficiently and well
• Ability to lead and motivate a team confidently
• Ability to work well with physicians, staff, patients, and vendors
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Competency with computer-based healthcare billing systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, coding, and reimbursement policies

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of three to five years medical billing and coding management experience
