Role/Title : Project Engineer 2 - Traffic

Location : Onsite - Cincinnati, OH

Duration : FullTime

Job Description:

Desired Skills and Experience

7+ years’ experience as a Traffic Engineer.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, required
Ohio PE License, required. P.T.O.E. preferred.
Road Safety Professional is a plus.
MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3D.
Other design-related software such as SignCad and AutoTurn.
HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel.
Travel demand modeling is a plus.
Basic or advanced GIS capabilities desired.
Knowledge of MUTCD policies and procedures.
Must have strong communication skills and be team oriented.
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT and private clients.
Produce and review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecasting.
Establishes guidelines for cost estimates. Reviews and approves estimates prepared by others.
May function as Project Manager - demonstrating strong team, communication, and organization abilities.
Frequently functions as a subject matter expert.
Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully addresses client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues.
Independently develop projects. May be assigned as subject matter expert.

MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
7+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer/Traffic Engineer.
Ohio PE License.
Experience in MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3D.
Experience in design-related software such as SignCad and AutoTurn.
Experience in HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel.
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance.

NICE TO HAVE

P.T.O.E. preferred.
