Role Description

The childcare Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-today operations of the childcare facility, including managing staff, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children. The childcare Director will also be responsible for implementing educational programs, and effectively communicating with parents.

Qualifications

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Knowledge of educational principles and practices

-Ability to lead and manage a team

-Organizational and multitasking abilities

-CPR and First Aid certifications.

Education and experience

-Bachelor's degree including, or in addition to 12 credits, Child Development or related field plus one year of full-time teaching experience in a childcare center, family or group family childcare home or other childhood program and one year of experience supervising staff in a childcare program or related field of work

OR

-Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related field with a plan of study leading to a bachelor's degree and two years of full-time teaching experience in a child childcare center, family or group family childcare home , or other early childhood program and two years of experience supervising staff in a childcare program or related field of work

OR

-Child Development Associate Credential with a plan of study leading to a bachelor's and two years full-time teaching experience in a childcare center, family or group family childcare home, or other early childhood program and two years of experience supervising staff in a childcare program or related field of work
