Job Description

Intermodal Dispatcher Assistant

1st shift –Temp to hire opportunity 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Great pay rate: $22.00 - $25.00 to start

Oakbrook, IL

We have partnered with a logistics division that has been in business for over 90 years and is actively expanding the 3PL/GLX division. This company is in Oak Brook IL and is seeking an Intermodal CSR.

As an Intermodal CSR, your primary responsibility will be to communicate with the customer and dispatcher and assist them with any transportation needs.

What you will do:
• Enter all new freight orders into the TMS system (McLeod)

• Schedule appointments via phone, email, or web portal with shipping and receiving locations.

• Enter and ensure all shipment data is correct in McLeod.

• Make daily check calls on all in-transit freight.

• Collect necessary PODs /BOLs directly from carriers and supply documentation to the accounting department.

• Manage incoming calls and emails and respond professionally and promptly.

• Research answers or solutions as needed.

• Listen and respond to customers’ needs and concerns professionally and promptly.

• Provide operational and sales support.

What you need:
• At least 3 years of Intermodal customer service and/or relatives’ experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (all programs)

• Strong communication skills needed - Take the extra mile to engage customers.

• Strong organizational skills and time management skills.

• Associate Degree preferred
