***THIS POSITION REQUIRES TRAVEL / WELDING / FABRICATION SKILLS / MACHINE – EQUIPMENT LAYOUT AND INSTALLATION.
Industrial/Mechanical Machinery Installer will train under the supervision of the Field Services Manager, to become a Lead Field Service Technician (up to a year of training may be required). In this vital role, you will be delivering our high-quality customer service. This role is responsible for installation, repair requests, and diagnosing problems with machinery within the truss building industry. You will also be in charge of the worksite and delivering on customer satisfaction and productivity objectives. In the field, this role requires installing heavy machinery in an industrial environment with little to no assistance or supervision. In the shop, this role requires updating parts records, filing reports, job planning, and general fabrication and manufacturing duties.
Industrial/Mechanical Machinery Installer Duties and Responsibilities:
∙ Perform work on job site and in the shop - equipment layout, installation, fabrication, and repairs, including squaring, leveling and calibrating.
∙ Be the primary customer interface while on-site, exhibiting courtesy and professionalism and ensuring all customer issues are satisfactorily addressed
∙ Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions
∙ Complete service documentation, monitor timekeeping, submit reports and manage expenses
∙ Produce timely and detailed service reports
∙ Maintain an organized accounting of parts used and feedback to our supply system to properly maintain inventory levels
∙ Keep tools and equipment organized and properly maintained
Industrial/Mechanical Machinery Installer Requirements:
∙ Must have WELDING AND FABRICATION experience using torches, plasma cutters, and welders
∙ Must obtain and maintain a current passport
∙ International travel may be required (primarily Canada)
∙ Must be able to perform physical maintenance work including the ability to lift at least 50-70 pounds
∙ Must have general hand and electric tool experience
∙ Must have a working knowledge of precision tools and processes used in placement and leveling of machinery
∙ Must be able to drive a forklift and use lifting devices
∙ Must practice personal and environmental safety on the job using protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
∙ Must be a team player -- must interact professionally and work well with the team and customers
∙ Must be positive, self-motivated, responsible, and reliable
∙ Must have effective time management skills
∙ Must have a high school diploma or GED. Further technical education is desired. Mechanical, millwright, and rigging experience is desired
∙ Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Required experience:
∙ Welding and Fabrication: 2 to 3 years
∙ General Labor: 3 years

Salary: $70,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year, dependent upon experience
