Chilton Jr. CTC offers full-service, bespoke private wealth management services, including asset allocation advice, management of separate portfolio accounts in equity and fixed income, open architecture manager research, trust and estate planning and family office services. CTC has offices in New York, Palm Beach, Naples, Connecticut, Charlotte, and Delaware.

Position Description

The Senor Client Operations Associate will be a liaison between operations, legal, client advisory and investment teams. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the onboarding of new accounts working closely with internal parties as well as custodians and other external parties to ensure a timely account opening process following all related compliance guidelines.
  • Research and respond to client inquiries where appropriate and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Respond to ad hoc asset and cash transfers working between teams to ensure a smooth and timely process.
  • Create consolidated reporting process for clients when requested.
  • Support manager research team as needed with any new fund onboarding including review of sub-docs and new fund subscriptions.
  • Work with operations team on any onboarding of new partnerships with custodians.
  • Generate new account paperwork to setup clients on the client portal and update all contact information in the Client Relationship Management tool.
  • Work within the different team dynamics to improve overall automation and production and to minimize errors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Description

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferable in business or finance) and a minimum of 5 years client operations experience at an investment advisor, outsource provider or similar firm.
  • Applicants must have excellent time management skills and the capacity to identify areas of improvement and develop potential solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required and knowledge of CRM software.
  • Understand instruments including international and domestic equities, US and foreign government debt, emerging market debt, corporates and municipals.
  • Ability to use discretion with client sensitive data and information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing will be paramount to success.
  • Proven project management experience required and ability to articulate how candidate how worked through a project from beginning to end.
  • APX portfolio management system experience a plus.
  • Desire to work within a team-based environment.
  • Analytical and ability to problem solve.
  • Motivated, passionate about working in wealth management and pro-active are important attributes.

Chilton is currently operating in a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) with the ability to work from home 2 days. For this role, 4 days in the office will likely be required for the first 3-6 months. This position can be based in Stamford, CT or New York.
