Critter Clinic is looking for an Kennel Assistant to join our practice that is located just outside of Nashville in Gallatin, TN.The Kennel Assistant reports directly to the Kennel Manager or Practice Manager and is responsible for providing direct support to the kennel and all of its patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Performs daily cleaning of kennels, cages, and public areas, following proper disease control protocol to ensure a sterile environment.

•                  Keeps Lead Veterinary Technician informed of animal behavior, health, or concerns.  

•                  Stocks all kennel/cleaning supplies as needed.  

•                  Takes and records patient history, medications, supplements, diet, and allergies.  

•                  Consistently collects and records patient’s vitals.  

•                   Properly uses record keeping systems to complete medical records and produce documentation for clients.  

•                  Ensures that all charges for materials and services are entered into systems and is able to explain costs to clients.  

•                   As needed, assists CSR in answering phones, booking appointments, and updating clients.  

Qualifications/Requirements:  

•                      Two years’ experience in an animal care setting.  

•                      Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks.  

•                      Must be able to communicate basic veterinary concepts to direct reports.  

•                      Great customer service skills required when interacting with clients.
