Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts receivable Analyst to join a great food manufacturing plant in #Azusa.

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Temp to hire position
  • Pay rate: $28.00 - $31.00 DOE

The Accounts Receivable Analyst position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial concepts. The ideal candidate should have experience with accounts receivable processes and be proficient in using accounting software. Additionally, knowledge of SOX compliance, QuickBooks, and GAAP standards is highly desirable.

The role involves managing accounts receivable, analyzing financial data, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with internal teams and external clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, is crucial for this role.

Candidates with a background in public accounting or experience with ERP systems will be well-suited for this position. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will also be responsible for customer service-related tasks, requiring a customer-centric approach and excellent organizational skills. A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, while an associate's degree combined with relevant experience may also be considered.

Overall, the Accounts Receivable Analyst plays a vital role in maintaining financial stability and ensuring efficient accounts receivable processes within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create invoices based on signed Bill of Lading (BOL) and send to customers daily

· Process and maintain precise records for all incoming payments

· Ability to manage several price lists for large customer base

  • Investigate and secure complete documentation for approval of credits and allowed deductions

· Prepare and issue credit notes/debit notes as needed

· Contact customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices

· Follow up past-due accounts, enlist the efforts of sales team/management when necessary to escalate the collection process.

· Reconcile customer accounts, resolve client discrepancies and short payments

· Send Statement of Accounts to customers monthly

· Work closely with Customer Service and Warehouse Departments regarding accuracy of invoicing to customers

  • Create customer aging report with updated notes on the status of each account

· Manage and calculate brokers’ commissions monthly

· Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits

· Other duties:

  • Assist with creating journal entries related to AR and posting to ERP system
  • Assist with admin work such as answering and directing incoming calls and sorting incoming mails as needed
  • Back up to AP Analyst as needed

· Back up to customer service team as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts

· Good analytical skills and attention to details

· Ability to work alone and/or as part of a team

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Good organizational skills

· Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Vlookups, Pivot table)

Requirements and Qualifications

· Associate degree in Business and at least 2 year experience in AR (B2B environment)

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance (preferred)

· Experience using ERP software & vendors/ customers portals & platforms (preferred)
