ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Bookkeeping team here at Anchin. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and providing strategic financial guidance to the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted/forecasted financial performance and provide explanations for significant variances.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
- Continuously review accounting processes and procedures to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and strengthen internal controls. Implement improvements to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of financial reporting.
- Assist with accounts payable and prepare Ad-hoc and analysis reports.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software(s) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary in the range of $80,000 to $90,000, based on individual's experience level.
