Our client in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Property Manager to join their team
Property Manager
- Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm - 37.5 hours
- Pay - 35$ an hour
- 2 months contract position, possibility to extend or get permanent
What’s the Job?
- Handled tenant complaints promptly and appropriately, calling in repairmen
- and other support services.
- Followed up on delinquent tenants and coordinated collection procedures.
- Completed final move-out walk-throughs with tenants to identify required
- repairs.
- Maintained original leases and renewal documents in digital and hardcopy
- format for property management office.
- Implementing an emergency management plan and responding to emergencies
- Assist Property Manager in management and administration of commercial and retail tenant portfolio
• Enter monthly rent remittances to Quickbooks; prepare bank deposits; bank runs
• Enter weekly accounts payable to Quickbooks; process payments and issue to vendors
• Reconcile bank statements for multiple bank accounts
• Produce A/R reports; issue correspondence & statements to tenants for collection of arrears
• Assist in preparation of annual budget calculations & spreadsheets
• Prepare and issue annual budgeted Rental Advice Notices
• Update rent roll as required for new leases, escalations, renewals
• Prepare packages for new tenant leases
• Assist in tenant space showing as necessary
• Assist Real Estate Brokers in real estate transactions
• Issue notices, reminders to ensure tenant premise insurance is current
• Other duties any projects as required
What’s Needed?
- Property Manager with 2 -3 years experience managing people, front line customer service experience, is financially literate, has initiative, and can effectively multi-task.
- Preference is someone with a minimum 2 years experience as a property manager at a non-profit or co-operative housing
