Responsibilities:
- System Design and Development: Create advanced DCS and PLC control systems that integrate seamlessly with client specifications and comply with all regulatory standards.
- Control Panel and Instrumentation Leadership: Manage the design and layout of control panels and network instrumentation using AutoCAD, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- System Implementation Support: Provide crucial support during the check-out, start-up, and debugging phases of system implementation.
- Safety and Compliance: Conduct comprehensive hazard analyses and develop robust safety protocols to mitigate risks effectively.
- Project Leadership: Take charge of several small to mid-size projects, overseeing every aspect from initiation to completion.
- Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, helping them grow professionally.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, and instrumentation.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in PLC system design and logic programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens), and DCS environments like DeltaV, Experion, or 800xA.
- Project Management: Strong skills in managing projects, with a proven track record of leading diverse teams.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 35% to meet project requirements.
- Technical Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Physical Requirements: Capability to meet the physical demands of on-site work, including climbing, lifting, and navigating industrial sites.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
