Job description

(SEEKING CANDIDATES LOCAL TO MICHIGAN ONLY)

Shift: Day shift

100% Onsite

Travel: Required as needed (supplier/plant support)

Environment: Mix of office, suppliers, and plant floor work


GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Engineer and design pneumatic piping diagrams.

· Engineer and design electrical wiring diagrams.

· Engineer and design hydraulic piping diagrams.

· Design electrical control panels.

· Design programmable logic controller software.

· Design programmable human machine interface (HMI) software.

· Tryout, debug and provide start-up support for control systems.

· Provide technical support for installation of tools and equipment.

· Provide technical support for training of plant personnel.

· Travel to plant sites as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Strong controls experience in manufacturing (5-7 years’ exp.)

· Hands-on technical background (not just project management)

· PLCs, HMIs, Networking

NICE TO HAVES:

· Automotive experience

· Vision systems experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor degree preferred (not required)

WORK STYLE:

~40–50% meetings, rest hands-on + supplier interaction

Team-oriented, self-motivated
