Job Goal:

The Production Planner is to control and organize all paperwork on the floor, enter any work orders that are needed by Production, communicate lead-times for Order Entry, and determine flow through work centers throughout the manufacturing process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create and Share production schedules to Molding department.
Review documents, such as production drawings and material requirements to determine routes of work orders.
Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
Follow up on tasks and action items from morning meeting.
Has full ownership of Work Orders on floor; cancellations, jobs on hold, reprinting, damage to paperwork.
Enter Project Orders after Engineering Hand Off.
Generate and distribute job travelers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Excellent People Skills

Communication Skills

Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality

Proficiency in Microsoft applications and typing

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in office environment and work inside plant daily.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position could potentially require weekend and some overtime hours.
