Technical Project Manager - Networking & IT Solutions

Overview: We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead projects that will be part of our managed services that are focused on the implementation and upgrade of networking systems, servers, and IT helpdesk solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managed services onboardings, IT infrastructure, project management, and team leadership. This role requires limited hands-on experience with network and server technologies, as well as a proven track record of successfully delivering IT and managed services projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and oversee the installation, configuration, and deployment of networking hardware, servers, and IT helpdesk systems for a managed services environment.
• Assist with planning and oversight of internal or service related projects that fall within the technology office.
• Coordinate with support technicians, network engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting, to ensure successful project completion.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and risks, and implement solutions to address challenges.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Ensure that all projects adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to secure necessary hardware, software, and services.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
• Facilitate the transition of new systems to the managed services teams for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate project outcomes and implement continuous improvement practices for future projects.
• Assist in managing presales and project queues that require technical resources to assist.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT/MSP project management, with a focus on networking and server implementations.
• Strong technical background in MSP, network infrastructure, server technologies, and IT helpdesk solutions.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with project management software and tools.
