JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing the overall software and deployment architecture of application solutions across teams within a single domain
• Partnering with engineering staff to deliver solutions
• Partnering with 3rd party vendors to integrate capabilities as required by the solution under development
• Partnering with Senior Solutions Architects during large, cross-functional project discovery to develop high level architecture and design
• Leading architectural design reviews as required
• Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining architectural diagrams, interface specifications and other architectural artifacts as required by the delivery teams to clearly communicate the needs of the solution under development
• Interacting with/present to engineering and product management with the presence to influence and drive the decision makers to a solution
• Identifying technology overlaps and gaps and inform Senior Solutions Architecture staff
• Assessing emerging technologies and make appropriate recommendations based on business needs
• Mentoring engineering team members in software development and architectural principles, patterns, processes, and practices
• Promoting the capture and reuse of intellectual capital, including code objects and components
• Contributing to Solutions Architecture Community of Practice

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of experience in software or infrastructure development domain with emphasis on utilizing design patterns and architectural principles to ensure the timely delivery of quality solutions
• 5+ years of experience taking a lead role in the successful delivery of complex software and automation systems
• Any experience integrating open-source technologies in high volume production environments and strong knowledge of agile methodology
• Proven knowledge of technology to support omnichannel experiences
• Proven knowledge of service-oriented architecture/Cloud
• Demonstrated capability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environment
• Proven delivery of innovative results in previous roles and strong knowledge of industry trends and industry competition
• Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation/public speaking communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate/work effectively with diverse groups of people

Desired Previous Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in designing eCommerce applications
• 3+ years of experience working on high volume, Internet scale solutions
• Any experience developing and/or architecting public cloud-hosted backend services with Azure and/or GCP
• Any experience developing/designing a scalable microservices architecture in Java, Go & Node.js
• Any experience developing Angular, React, Swift (native iOS), Kotlin (native Android)
