JOB SUMMARY:

• As a construction account manager, you will be responsible for managing financial aspects and client relationships throughout construction projects. Your role will involve overseeing budgets, tracking expenses, ensuring profitability, and maintaining communication with clients to address any concerns or inquiries

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Management:

• Manage project budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial targets
• Monitor project expenses, track costs, and identify areas for cost-saving measures
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast financial needs and manage cash flow effectively

Client Relationship Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and managing expectations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service delivery
• Coordinate client meetings, presentations, and project reviews to ensure alignment with client objectives
• Obtain referrals from existing clients to aid in business development

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure financial objectives align with project goals
• Review project contracts, proposals, and change orders to verify accuracy and mitigate risks
• Identify and resolve financial issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain project momentum

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including financial records, contracts, and correspondence
• Assist in preparing project close-out documents and final financial reports for clients and stakeholders

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Proficiency in project management software, accounting software
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices is preferred

 
WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position typically operates in an office environment, with regular visits to construction sites and client offices as needed.
• May require occasional travel to client locations or project sites.
