Furniture Sales / Warehouse Associate

Old Charleston Trading Company is looking for that person with a willingness and desire to work with diverse staff and customer base. The person who has excellent communication/customer service skills, is able to assist with the receiving of inventory and moving materials from the warehouse to store floor; is able to assist customers with purchases – lifting, carrying and loading, is able to lift up to 100 lbs. is able to work in the elements as needed will treat others in a nondiscriminatory, lawful and ethical manner, respecting the differences among people.

Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Work Schedule:
Wednesday 9am-5pm
Thursday 9am-5pm
Friday 9am-6pm
Saturday 9am-6pm
Sunday 11am-5pm

Duties:

• Welcome customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients
• Educate customer on the differences in our products and offer appropriate suggestions and opinions.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Receive deliveries/unload trucks
• Inspect and verify the accuracy of received goods
• Continually maintain and replenish stock on floor. Organize and stock inventory shelves
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, keep showroom neat and clean.
• No smoking, drug and alcohol free during working hours.
• Drug test and background check (NO FELONIES) on final candidate.

Skills:

• Previous experience in retail environment and design is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
• Knowledge of inventory management principles is a plus
• Punctual and reliable!
