The Allison Inn & Spa is Oregon Wine Country's first full service luxury resort in the heart of the Willamette Valley.

Reflecting the bounty of the Willamette Valley, our seasoned culinary team at JORY delivers an array of elegant foods featuring seasonal catering menus.

Meetings & Events at The Allison Inn & Spa has elegant, dedicated function space in the west wing. We are seeking two (2) part-time/on-call) Banquet Bartenders for our Banquet Department. In addition to the hourly rate of $18.70 per hour, employees can expect to receive a substantial portion of a service charge distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mix, cut garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following The Allison standard recipes
  • Ability to pour beverages tableside, or willingness to learn
  • Assess guest needs and preferences to make recommendations
  • Check guests’ legal identification to ensure guest meets minimum drinking age prior to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Handle all guest requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Adhere to side work requirements as set forth by banquet managers or banquet captains
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Complete knowledge of the banquet menu
  • Suitable wine and beer knowledge to field questions during service
  • Ability to work well in team oriented environment
  • Assist banquet team with food service, as necessary
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a banquet bartender or similar
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Mathematical skills a must, handling of money and giving correct change
  • Good manual dexterity skills
  • Must possess excellent communications skills, be well-organized, multi-task and able to think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.
  • Must have social awareness, be guest sensitive and possess a good sense of timing.
  • Pride in personal appearance and a dedication to your profession is necessary.
  • Physically fit with good stamina for physical tasks such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for long periods of time
  • Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of bartending.
  • Minimum availability one (1) day per week to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful passing of background investigation.
  • Successful passing of pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must have current Food Handler’s and OLCC permits, or ability to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire
  • Adhere to The Allison Inn & Spa grooming and appearance standards, or ability to adjust appearance accordingly

Working conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Standing, bending, reaching, kneeling for long periods in a confined space, generally up to eight (8) hours per shift.
  • Walking, bending, reaching, or kneeling for extended periods of time, generally up to eight (8) hours per shift
  • Ability to consistently use hands for pouring, shaking, chopping, muddling and tapping.
  • Use of hands and arms to feel, handle, reach, and touch
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors
  • Ability to transport and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be subject to high noise levels
  • Work in a smoke-free and drug-free environment
