YOUR ROLE

We're hiring a part-time Receptionist to work two days a week, Tuesday & Thursdays, at our New York office. We're seeking an energetic professional with a commitment to excellence. This role will work as part of the Operations team on general office operations and all initiatives aligned with agency operations. The receptionist and Ops team work together to present an energetic front desk & office environment. Receptionist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be a Crossmedia brand champion and ensure everyone entering our office has a positive, on-brand experience
  • Register, greet and direct guests, partners & new Crossmedians
  • Screen phone calls, receive & ship mail
  • Assist with internal & external client meetings and event preparation (including physically moving furniture/configuring room set up), execution and clean-up
  • Assist with company cultural initiatives including burgerdays and hosting monthly coffee hours in reception – barista skills a plus!
  • Light cleaning to ensure a presentable office space, including tidying kitchen & open office areas; loading/unloading dishwashers, straightening conference rooms and office organization support
  • Restocking office supplies, snacks, beverages, kitchen & bathroom supplies
  • Assist with maintaining centralized office/operational information including furniture & office supply inventory
  • Work collaboratively and support all Operations initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Warm, outgoing personality with professional, service-oriented attitude
  • Hospitality, retail or office-related experience, preferably managing a front desk
  • Great listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize & follow-up
  • Resourceful with a high level of personal dedication & motivation
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office for Mac (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able to lift 25 lbs

SALARY: 21.00 per hour, at approximately 16 hours a week, with flexibility for additional hours as needed. The role requires working onsite at our NYC office every Tuesday and Thursday on an ongoing basis. This role is not benefits eligible.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
